 why Jesus?

Alpha

TThe Alpha Course is an opportunity to explore the Christian faith without pressure or obligation. Run in a relaxed setting over ten thought-provoking weekly sessions, it includes a day away later in the course.

Alpha is held on Wednesdays at the Beacon Café in Woking's town centre
from 7.15pm to 9.45pm (finishing promptly).

It is low-key, friendly and fun. Designed primarily for people who aren't churchgoers, each Alpha course is open to everyone who would like to
attend. Guests attend for a wide variety of reasons. Many guests have
never been to church, while others may have attended church occasionally
but feel they have never really understood the basics of the Christian faith. Some don’t believe there is a God, while others may follow a different
religion.

Alpha Dinner c7611

Each session begins with a meal. There is then a short talk, which looks at
a different aspect of the Christian faith each week. This is followed by a time
of discussion in groups. Everyone is welcome but not required to contribute their opinion or ask any question for discussion with the rest of the group.
The emphasis is upon exploration and discovery in a relaxed and informal
environment.

There is no charge for attending the Alpha course, although we ask for a
small contribution towards the meal.
